Our Story

When my family and I moved to Spain for two years, we expected better weather, great food, and a slightly slower pace of living. What we did not expect was that within days of settling in, we received many invitations to group dinners, often with other guests we had never met before. Time and again, I was awestruck by the deep and meaningful conversations around those tables as they lasted hours and always covered a range of topics both important and unexpected. Within just a matter of hours, I felt more connected to these new friends and acquaintances than I had felt with people I’d known for decades in our native New York.

It quickly became clear to me that there’s a special kind of alchemy at work when we come together, carve out a sacred space to cut through the small talk, and bring an open heart and our authentic selves to the table.

It is this magic that I’ve sought to harness with Palabra events. It is my hope that in curating intimate groups with expert moderators and a rich tapestry of guests, we can transform the way business is done and bring a little more humanity, and possibly even a bit of magic, to how we all live in the process.
